Eminem Relapse Review
I listened to Eminem’s latest LP, “Relapse,” with great uncertainty as to what my expectations should be. This confused state of mind was created by his schizophrenic pre-album releases. Those songs could be divided into two distinct categories; psychotic, murder-themed tracks (I’m Having a Relapse, 3 A.M.), and pop-hop garbage that scored poorly even in comparison to Shady’s other first singles (Crack A Bottle, We Made You). The former set of songs consisted of raw material, vivid imagery, and tongue-twisting flows. The latter featured outdated topics, immature language, and an overriding sense that Eminem was another washed up musician trying to squeeze one last paycheck out of his remaining fans.
